Ingredients:

250 grams paneer, cut into cubes

2 bunches of spinach (palak)

2-3 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)

1 onion, chopped

1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

2-3 green chillies, chopped

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon garam masala

1/2 cup cream (optional)

Salt to taste

Instructions:

Rinse the spinach leaves thoroughly in running water. Blanch the spinach leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Drain the hot water and rinse the spinach in cold water. Drain the water and blend the spinach in a mixer grinder to make a puree. Set aside.


Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter for a few seconds. Add chopped onions and sauté till they turn golden brown.


Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chillies. Sauté for 1-2 minutes till the raw smell disappears.


Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and garam masala. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.


Add the spinach puree and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.


Add salt and paneer cubes. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.


Finally, add cream (if using) and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame.


Garnish with cream and serve hot with naan or rice.
