How To Make Veg Noodles: Easy Veg Noodles Recipe
Noodles are a type of food made from unleavened dough that is rolled and cut into thin strips. They are a popular staple food in many cultures around the world, including China, Japan, Korea, and Italy.There are many types of noodles, which vary in shape, size, texture, and the ingredients used to make them. Some of the most common types of noodles include:
Ramen: a type of Japanese noodle made from wheat flour and typically served in a flavorful broth.
Udon: a thick, chewy Japanese noodle made from wheat flour.
Soba: a Japanese noodle made from buckwheat flour, often served cold with dipping sauce.
Vermicelli: a thin, rice-based noodle used in many Southeast Asian dishes.
Spaghetti: a long, thin, cylindrical pasta made from durum wheat.
Linguine: a type of pasta similar to spaghetti, but flatter and wider.
Noodles can be boiled, stir-fried, baked, or used in soups and stews. They can be served hot or cold, and are often paired with vegetables, meat, seafood, or tofu to create a complete meal.
In addition to their versatility and delicious taste, noodles are also a good source of carbohydrates, fiber, and some essential nutrients. However, some types of noodles can be high in calories and sodium, so it is important to enjoy them in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
Ingredients:
250g noodles
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small carrot, julienned
1/2 bell pepper, julienned
1/2 cup cabbage, thinly sliced
1/2 cup snow peas, trimmed
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp ginger, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions:
Cook the noodles in a pot of boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.
In a wok or large frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over high heat. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the onion and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until translucent.
Add the carrot and bell pepper and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
Add the cabbage and snow peas and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Add the cooked noodles to the wok and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), vinegar, and sugar.
Pour the sauce over the noodles and vegetables and stir-fry for another minute until everything is evenly coated.
Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Serve hot and enjoy your delicious veg noodles!
