Tasty Raw Banana Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
2 raw bananas
1 onion, chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped or made into a paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal (split black gram)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnishing
Instructions:
Peel the raw bananas and cut them into small cubes. Soak them in a bowl of water and add salt to prevent them from turning brown.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and urad dal. When the seeds start to splutter, add the chopped onions and fry until they turn translucent.
Add ginger paste, green chilli paste, and turmeric powder. Mix well and sauté for a minute.
Drain the water from the raw bananas and add them to the pan. Mix well.
Add salt to taste and a cup of water. Mix well and cover the pan with a lid.
Cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until the raw bananas are soft and cooked.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or chapati.
